Deep Blue Sea
Anna Lunoe
A love letter to the ocean
Why I wrote this song
This song is a love letter to how deeply connected we all are; how the sea binds us, transforms us, holds us, heals us, and nourishes us. At the end of the day, nature & connection is everything.
The track draws inspiration from nature, exploring its healing power: “All the tension building up in me / Let it float away ‘till it’s out of reach / Wash it off of me I need fantasy / I can breathe in the deep blue sea.”
About me as an artist
International DJ, Producer, Host of the ‘Create Destroy’ podcast and Former Host of Hyperhouse on Apple Music. She has a huge global following and is a powerhouse in the Australian Dance scene.
“Music has the power to open minds and inspire change as it echoes through our bodies and over this amazing planet.
The Environmental Music Prize will encourage storytellers to delve into this topic more fully. Sometimes we need reminders to stretch into new spaces.
I truly believe that creativity that inspires change is the most essential art there is, and the most important art to make. I hope my fellow creative community consider it a calling.”
About the music video
Growing up in Sydney I’ve spent countless hours by the ocean.
It’s where I’ve always gone to rest, reset and find myself.
And now where I spend precious moments with my children.
The visualiser shot by my cousin selma & on a magic windy day/night.
