When A Tree Falls

The Boy Of Many Colors, ft. Emily Wurramara

When a tree falls in the rainforest and no-ones around does it make a sound?

Why we wrote this song

This song is a stand against death in custody and deforestation , it draws the parallel towards the loss of our rainforests and the loss of our custodians who have been caretakers for this country since the beginning of time.

About us as artists

This collaboration between The boy of many colors and Emily Wurramara is something to behold.

Coedie (the boy…) is a Bama (rainforest person) from the Yidinji bar-barrum people of Far North Queensland, while Emily Wurramara is a Warnindhilyagwa woman from Groote Eylandt.

They come together to sing for nature and mankind alike , too many fall to the hands of greed and colonisation.
