This song unites people through music as a rallying cry for collective action, reminding us that together we hold the power to protect our planet.

Why I wrote this song

I have a profound love for the Ocean and have had the privilege to call it home, and understand the urgent need to protect it. What I did not understand, until now, was what I could do to help. My career as an Artist and Songwriter has taught me how powerful music can be and I wanted to put that power to use. ‘Power In Us’ is a heartfelt tribute to the Earth, inspired by those working tirelessly to protect our Environment.

I wrote the ‘Power In Us’ single in 2023 single and produced it collaboration with music partner Joseph Corban-Bank.

In 2024, we collaborated with MOTHER Magazine and put the call out to videographers worldwide to help us create a compelling music video and hundreds of talented women submitted spectacular footage to be used for the project.

100% of the Streaming Revenue generated by the song and its music video is donated to three carefully chosen organisations dedicated to Ocean Conservation; Ocean Generation, Live Ocean and Mission Blue.

About me as an artist

I’m an American/Spanish Artist and Songwriter hailing from New Zealand who is passionate about redefining what it means to create with impact.

I am the Founder of The Power In Us Project, a nonprofit backed by some of the biggest names in conservation, that connects pop music with environmental impact, and Riverine Records, a development-focused label.

With 40+ releases, my music has been featured in global campaigns, TV, and film and my 2020 track “Paradise”, propelled by its placement in Netflix’s ‘Lucifer’, was lauded by The Guardian as the “Pandemic Anthem” and charted Top 3 on Shazam’s Global Discovery Charts.

My collaborator on this ‘Power In Us’, Joseph Corban-Banks, is a producer, songwriter, and composer whose clean, organic take on pop has made him a sought-after collaborator across the Australian and New Zealand music scene. Working as a producer between Auckland and Melbourne, Joseph has worked with artists including Niko Walters, Noah Slee, Alayna, Foley, Bexy, Paige, Just A Gent, and Cassie Henderson. His projects have collectively amassed over 40 million streams. Known for his collaborative spirit and meticulous ear, Joseph continues to craft music that balances commercial polish with authentic artistry.

About the music video

For the ‘Power In Us’ music Video, I teamed up with editor and chief of MOTHER Magazine’s Melissa Schaefer;

Together we harnessed the power of music and media on a cosmic level. We created a platform for creatives who’s visual stories of our natural world would become the official music video for ‘Power In Us’. Out of over 500 submissions, the collective work of forty four creatives were chosen and curated to premiere as the Official Power In Us Music Video.

Coming together from around the world to amplify the voices of environmental conservation, this video serves as a reminder that we all have the power to make the transformative change our planet so desperately needs. 100% of the streaming revenue for this Music video is donated to SeaLegacy to support storytelling for conservation.
