The Seed

The Seeding

A protest and a prayer, fierce and tender, an anthem for healing, justice, and collective awakening.

Why we wrote this song

To give voice to the grief, love, and urgency we feel for the Earth, a song to transform despair into action and to remind listeners that healing begins within us and ripples outward into collective regeneration.

It is both a protest and a prayer, born from heartbreak and hope, a call to awaken to the truth of what is happening to our world and to rise together in love, courage, and solidarity.

We care because we are living this crisis, from the front lines of emotion and experience, where personal healing meets planetary justice. We carry it in our bodies, in our communities, and in the places we love that are under threat. We are not just making songs, we are advocates for life, for respect, and for the Earth.

About us as artists

The Seeding is the creative partnership of Mia and Conor, two singer-songwriters brought together by a shared devotion for music to inspire waves of change, connection, healing, and transformation.

Their songs are born from lived experience, years of activism for many causes, inner work, deep listening, and a love for the Earth and its people. Rooted in soul, storytelling, and that classic Woodstock hippie energy.

About the music video

This music video was a six month collaboration between just us two, built from more than 350 clips and infused with love and intention. We wanted to tell the story of colonisation, the way of life that was destroyed and replaced with a system of control, and to shine light on how exploitation in the East sustains the comforts of the West. Piece by piece, we crafted the clip like a puzzle, letting the lyrics lead us toward images that deepen their meaning.

We chose to honour the visionaries who inspire us, Angela Davis, Gandhi, Julian Assange, Vandana Shiva, while exposing the corporations and billionaires who profit from injustice. This is a story of struggle and power, of injustice and awakening, of movements that have blazed the path before us. It is also a story of returning to what is sacred, remembering that we are enough, and that together we can create a different world.
